Linea Interiors is a joinery business in Sydney’s industrial west that focuses on commercial, architectural projects. The business having been in operation for a number of years has always been impressed with the helpful and prompt service received from Masterwood Australia.

Carlos Maltese, the director explains that when the need arose to expand his operation and add more machinery to the floor, “The decision was obvious to go with Stefano Cesamolo (managing director of Masterwood Australia) as the support he had provided me, was excellent.”

Carlos decided upon the Masterwood MW 1836, a flat bed router with all the optionals. The working area of the machine was an influential factor in the purchase. The MW1836 has a capacity to machine 3760mm on the X axis and 1830mm on the Y axis, and 100mm on the Z axis. With 12 automatic tool changers on board, 10 vertical independent drilling spindles, a displacement speed of 60metres a minute and a cutting speed of 30meters a minute; this machining centre has all the features.

Carlos is pleased with the effects on production the machine has had. “Twice as many jobs can be taken aboard and still profitability and efficiency are way ahead.” He describes the virtual size of the machine as being very flexible to work with. “The MW1836 has many positive features; the dimensions of the machine and the overall ease of operation are depended upon daily and contribute to efficient productivity.”
Certainly the economical factors –the price and value of the machine were extremely impressive. Carlos affirms that above all else he is most impressed with the after sales service he receives.

Daniel Armari (Linea Interiors’ software programmer) adds that “Masterwood’s software is easy to run; the programming is very user friendly, straight forward and very reliable.” Daniel is confident that Masterwood’s CAD software is good value for money. Masterwood machines are also interface able with other software manufacturers.

Altogether the Linea Interiors team agrees that the Masterwood package is very reliable and Daniel says,”If you have the right machinery- you are able to meet those clients’ requirements and deadlines with ease.”

Linea Interiors have also added a Tecnoma XT5A corner rounding automatic edgebander to their factory floor. The edgebander’s reliability and accuracy provide meters of edgebanding piece of mind.
